Sul finire degli anni settanta, chiunque avesse un'attrezzatura minima ed alcuni dischi faticosamente comprati o prestati da amici poteva avere il suo piccolo spazio, che sovente non went out from their native country, but it was enough space to convey their thoughts and their own enthusiasm.
Each district of a city, every town, even the most remote, had his own radio DJs were free and the faces of those people who met every day.
who had professional equipment, he could afford, in a light not blocked, to reach remote areas from the point of transmission.
The enthusiasm, the desire to convey was the winning of these radios, but also their limits, because they had to eventually collide with the logic of the market. The price you had to pay was that of having to give increasing space to advertising and to change the type of radio that was put on the air, so they became free radio stations. Some of them became full until the upheaval in total subservience to the god of money, not taking into account most of the creature designed and carried out with passion. Fortunately there are those like us
Radio Studio Center - Radio-Siciliano Consortium has decided to do a radio "semi-free" in the sense that takes into account the market while losing the freshness of a time and the desire to typical radio of the first experiences that each of us did at the end of those legendary seventies.
There was talk of freshness in the faces of disck Jokey who met every day of a thousand voices crowding ether.
We also had our DJs, and in this post I talk about them, and one in particular ...
One afternoon I was in radio and a guy came to see me, introduced himself, said his name was Joseph Spinella, of being a high school student and above that he would like to do radio. He was dressed in the fashion of "paninari" of that time, with a jacket, baggy jeans and tennis shoes designer. Quindi non era un semplice ragazzetto viziato che voleva mettersi in doing radio shows, was very mature for his age and different from what it is.
Now I proposed, to learn how to send music. He accepted a few minutes later I was amazed and explaining what was a sound, what they are, how you used the turntable, cassette deck plates and coils, discs and tapes. All that was once the radio. I did do a practical test and then mixing dovendomi away, entrusted with the radio for a few minutes. In face was shocked, in disbelief, a few minutes before he had a dream and now he was doing. I went with a colleague in the car and listened to what Joseph combined. He sent all the footage of the Pet Shop Boys, but Mina, Sinatra and Pink Floyd. Did everything I had said, also sent the jingles and advertising at the scheduled time. When I returned I pretended not to know what had happened, and I asked him. Embarrassed told me that his first experience of the sweat that was done. I told him to return. And he agreed excited.
I had guessed right, Joseph became one of the regulars on the radio, but did not lose the compass. He studied at Palermo, he came home and did homework in the afternoon came on the radio to satisfy his need to escape with music. Because music is relaxing, good for body and soul. The story of Joseph Spinella

already stopped when he attended the University. When he tried to find the road at great sacrifice of his life. He had grown up with us, he became an adult, with his dreams, his aspirations, but never losing that righteousness, that intelligence, sense of duty that has always marked, as already I knew that afternoon, when he came to propose . So we lost touch for several years, those rare occasions when we met greeted us and he would always ask me ... the radio? And I said, it works!
summer of 2006, we met and spoke to me of his new interests, was involved in social work and would like to do programs that speak di vita.
Ti senti cosi depresso, vuoi autodistruggerti
…
Paninaro, Paninaro oh oh oh
Giuseppe, in fondo anche nelle canzonette puoi trovare dei significati che change your life!
